1980 Greco Super Power SE-380 S Type3 Tone Sunburst

1980 Greco Super Power SE-380 S Type3 Tone Sunburst

£600.00Price

Greco are simply, legendary. Alongside Tokai, Fernandes and a myriad of other Japanese brands they fulfilled the demand for vintage specification guitars during the 70s and 80s.

This particular Greco was made in March 1980, at the legendary Fuji-Gen Gakki factory and features a beautiful ash body, a 50s feeling neck profile, a vintage correct headstock and plenty of geniuine mojo. The electronics have THAT sound, and even come with a 50's accurate 3 way switch.

These particular guitars were the ones that made Fender themselves decide to seek a Japanese manufactured line as they feared these were eating into their sales. 2 years later, in 1982, the Greco SE series was discontinued and Fuji-Gen Gakki began manufacturing them under the Fender name.

50s accuracy, Japanese build quality and it's bonafide vintage.

* Please note, that this guitar features a new Japanese made pickguard, as the original was warped beyond repair. Due to Greco's use of a non standard sized switch, it is bolted in (very securely) with one screw, whilst the second is secured beneath the guard. The new owner can leave it as is, or swap it out for another switch- 3 way or 5 way, *
